1) Mechanical and metallurgical testing
Tensile testing: 200–300 kNuniversal testing machine (UTM) with extensometer, for EN ISO 6892-1(room temp), and ISO 9513/9514grade calibration; supports weld and HAZ test specimens.

Charpy impact testing: 300 Jpendulum impact tester with ±1 Jresolution, for EN ISO 148-1at +20°C(default) and down to −40°Cas required by design/class.
Hardness testing: Rockwell HRB/HRCand Vickers HV5/10hardness testers, EN ISO 6508calibrated, for welds, HAZ, and base metal.
Bend/fillet weld testing: manual or motorized bend testing fixtures (EN ISO 5173), root-bend, face-bend, and side-bend capability for weld procedure qualification and routine checks.
Optional: portable hardness for large fabrications (EN ISO 16859series) and spark OES for Fe/C/Alalloy verification (EN ISO 16962/17075).

2) Non-destructive testing (NDT)
Ultrasonic testing (UT): 5–10 MHzphased-array and conventional flaw detectors (EN ISO 5817/17640/11666), with TOF/scan plan for wall thickness and weld volumetric inspection.
Radiographic testing (RT): 200–450 kVX-ray systems and/or Ir-192/Gammasources with EN ISO 17636-1/2compliance; lead-lined cabinets, dosimetry, and darkroom or computed radiography (CR/DR) workflow.
Magnetic particle testing (MT): AC/DCyoke and prod techniques, wet fluorescent or dry powder, for EN ISO 4986/17638surface-breaking indications.
Liquid penetrant testing (PT): water-washable/visibleand solvent-removable/fluorescentsystems (EN ISO 4987/17638), for welds and machined surfaces.
Personnel and calibration: EN ISO 9712-qualified NDT personnel (Level I/II), calibrated probes, reference blocks (CSK-IIA, IIW, side-drilled holes), and DAQ/software for image and report traceability.

3) Dimensional, geometrical, and assembly control
High-accuracy surveying: total stationsand automatic levelsfor column plumb, beam camber/sag, and assembly geometry (EN ISO 17123series).
Laser-based systems: laser trackersand laser scannersfor large-component dimensional control, weld shrinkage monitoring, and fit-up verification.
Portable metrology: arm CMMsand laser line scannersfor weld crown/undercut, fillet size, hole spacing, and profile tolerance checks (ISO 16610profile methods).
Conventional tools: calibrated micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, and indicatorsfor shop-floor verification and sampling.

4) Coating, corrosion protection, and fireproofing
Coating thickness: magnetic/eddy-currentgauges (EN ISO 1461/2064/2178), with wet-film thickness gauges for process control.

Holiday/dielectric: high-voltage DC holiday detectorfor continuity on galvanized or coated steel (EN ISO 1461practices).
Adhesion and porosity: pull-off adhesion testersand spark testersfor coating integrity where specified.
Fireproofing checks: dry-film thickness(DFT) for intumescent coatings and visual/recordedconformity to specified systems.
5) Welding consumables and material verification
Welding procedure qualification: EN ISO 15614-1(steel) and EN ISO 15614-2(aluminium) test panels with tensile, bend, impact, and NDT (EN ISO 5817) to underpin WPS/WPQR.

Personnel certification: EN ISO 9606-1welders and EN ISO 14732welding operators; EN ISO 3834quality requirements for welding (selection per EXC1–EXC4).
Material certification and PMI: EN 10204 3.1mill certificates; PMI handheld XRF/OESfor alloy verification and positive material identification (PMI)in fabrication.
Corrosion protection: zinc platingthickness (e.g., zinc plating 80–120 μmtypical for atmospheric service), passivationand sealantverification per specified systems.
6) Metrology management and calibration
Equipment governance: all gauges and instruments are periodically calibratedto ISO/IEC 17025labs; control of measurement uncertainty, environmental conditions, and equipment history files.
System integration: QMS(aligned with EN ISO 9001) links FPC records, IT-based inspection databases, NDT reporting, and CE documentation (DoC, FPC, WPQR, NDT reports, material certificates) to ensure full traceability to EN 1090requirements.

This equipment suite enables DUNBON to perform all required verifications under EN 1090-1/-2/-3and associated standards, from material and weld qualification to dimensional control, coating integrity, and factory production control, ensuring consistent compliance for CE-marked steel and aluminium structures.
